A Soundgarden live album and concert film will be released this summer.

The band, the estate of late singer Chris Cornell, Polydor/UMC and Artists Den, have revealed plans to put out 'Soundgarden: Live From The Artists Den' on July 26.

It was recorded at the final show of their US King Animal Tour at the Wiltern in Los Angeles on February 17, 2013. The performance lasted two and a half hours, during which the band played 29 songs.

'Soundgarden: Live From The Artists Den' will be available in numerous formats, with limited edition box sets containing bonus interview footage, a 40-page photo book, and replica all access passes and ticket stubs from the gig. Head here for further details.

Prior to the arrival of the concert film and live album there'll be immersive events held in Los Angeles and New York, and a screening in Seattle. More information on those here.

Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil said:

“We were very proud and excited to document the performance of our new material from King Animal, and to celebrate with each other and our fans.”

Chris Cornell's widow Vicky Cornell added:

“This live show was really special, and I know how much fun Chris had that night. The idea of giving fans the opportunity to experience it in its entirety is something I’m proud to share with them.”

Chris Cornell died on May 18, 2017 aged 52. He committed suicide while on tour in the US.
