Red Kite Unveil And Yet You Miss The Sea Video

Jon Stickler 10 October 2017

Red Kite have released a music video for their new single, and yet you miss the sea.

The track is taken from the Londoners' forthcoming album 'Racquet', which will be released on November 3 via Blood Records. Speaking about the visuals, singer and guitarist Daniel Fisher said:

"The idea for the video came from trawling through endless hours of old 8mm stock footage. The real world tries to tempt you with start-ups, technology and fad diets, whilst rock music lures you into the waves, pounding you against the rocks until you’re washed up on the surf, bloodied and sea-swept and grinning like a buffoon. The Russian translation of the lyrics seemed to work perfectly, almost taking on the air of a public service broadcast. That weird hover-thing over the guitar solo is apparently called an Avrocar. I just saw a strange, ridiculous scientific experiment and thought it mirrored a modern day music career all too well, tying into the themes of the song even more."

The band will play shows in London, Reading, Bedford and Manchester this autumn.
