Faithless To Play First Live Dates In Eight Years This Summer In UK and Europe

Friday, 19 April 2024 Written by Jon Stickler

Faithless have announced a four-date run of UK and European shows for the summer.

Returning after an eight-year hiatus, the legendary dance act will take over London's Roundhouse on June 14, following stops in Brussels, Luxembourg City and Amsterdam. Tickets for the Champion Sound Tour go on general sale at 10am BST/11am CEST next Friday (April 26).

The shows will mark their first since the death of frontman Maxi Jazz in December 2022, aged 65. The group have also revealed plans to release new music, with a new album confirmed and being worked on. Founding member Sister Bliss said in a statement:

"As many of you have noticed, we’re back…Some shows have already been announced but we couldn't start the summer without a little personal note. Maxi died just over a year ago and obviously we miss him every day. Thank you all for all of your kind words of support over this last year. It has really, really meant a lot.

"In the meantime, we never stopped (couldn't stop, never wanted to stop!) making music. Even during Maxi’s long illness we recorded and released ‘All Blessed’ and now finally, eight years after our last live performance, we are returning to festival stages across the summer and are planning some of our own shows later this year…"

This summer, Faithless will also headline the Thursday of Glastonbury Festival, as well as appearing at Wilderness Festival and Camp Bestival Shropshire.
